The safest countries:Singapore, Austria, and Switzerland
Two reports are worth checking out for a country's safety index, one by Gallup Consulting (founded in the 1930s by renowned U.S. social scientist Dr. George Gallup, and a globally recognized polling and business research/consulting firm), and the Global Law and Policing Report, and the Global Peace Index report by the Institute for Economics and Peace IEP, a nonprofit organization, are both relatively authoritative third-party reports.
According to the 2020 editions of the two authoritative reports on the world's safest countries, here are the 10 safest & most dangerous countries in the world:
Global Law & Order Report: Singapore #1, China #3The Gallup Law & Order Report surveyed 175,000 adults in 144 countries and territories. It focused on the questions "Do you have confidence in the police in the city/region where you live?", "Do you have confidence in the police in the city/region where you live? , "Do you feel safe walking alone at night in your city/region?"
From the perspective of the major states, the safest is East Asia, the least safe is Latin America, from the point of view of the country, ranked in the "safest countries," and is the main country of study in Singapore and Switzerland , in addition to the Netherlands, Portugal, Canada, Germany, etc. ranked higher, China in the safety of the list ranked high, and China in the safety of the list, ranked in the first place. The report's most peaceful country is Iceland, a Nordic nation, which has been ranked as the most peaceful country for 13 consecutive years since 2008.

Among the major study abroad countries, New Zealand, Portugal, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Switzerland, and Austria were all ranked as "very high" on the peace index; Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Britain, Spain and other countries with a peace index of "high"; France, the United States of America's peace index is only "medium".
While there are differences in the indices referenced in the two reports, two countries, Singapore and Switzerland, both made the Top 10 list of "safest/peaceful" countries.
