Rules and rituals of ancestor worship

The rules and rituals of ancestor worship are as follows:

Tools/materials: incense table, incense, candle, cannon, red lantern, "eight treasures" and "three sacrifices".

1. Decorate the incense table: Master of ceremonies, clan representatives (staff) and bands will be present first to prepare.

2. Burn incense and light candles: The master of ceremonies announces the start of the ceremony, and the clan representatives light incense, fire guns and play music.

3. The priest enters the ancestral hall: the priest patriarch, the oldest person in each room, is assisted by the clan, led by red lanterns, and accompanied by sacrifices (the chairman, the patriarch, etc. ), together into the ancestral temple. Everyone stood up and applauded, and firecrackers played music.

4. Greeting the ancestors: The master of ceremonies held incense in his hands and held it high to the patio, chanting: "Today is a certain day of a certain year, and a certain surname in a village worships the ancestors. Please be in place." Then burn incense on the incense table and play music with firecrackers.

5. Sacrifice: Submit "Eight Treasures" and "Three Sacrifices" to the priest, bow down to the ancestor gods, and then put them back in their original places and play music.
