How to cut axisymmetric window grilles?

2. Step 2: Print the pattern: print or copy the selected paper-cut pattern, and cut out 15-20 pieces of rice paper according to the pattern size, leaving a space of one centimeter around. 15 is suitable for beginners and can reach 20 after proficiency. Getting started is easy, but learning is difficult. Ordinary window grilles can be studied for a few days, and advanced art paper-cutting depends on understanding.

3. Step 3: Press the paper, and staple (sew) a stack of rice paper with the sample with a stapler, preferably with a sewing machine. Then press it with a heavy object for 24 hours, which is convenient for carving. A set of high-quality paper-cutting tools is the key to complete artistic works.

4. Step 4: Carve formally, and choose different carving knives according to the thickness of the sample. The knives sold are all hand-ground, and they can only be sold if they pass the knife test.

There is no knife on the market that can be used to carve artistic paper-cuts. It must be made by hand. The cutter should be thicker, because it prevents the novice from breaking the meat cutter. After proficiency, you can use natural stone to gradually refine it, which is labor-saving and convenient for carving fine paper-cuts.

Precautions:

Due to the limitation of tools and materials, it is required that paper-cutting should not only grasp the characteristics of the object, but also link the lines with nature when processing images. Therefore, we can't adopt naturalistic realism.

It is required to pay attention to the main part of the image and boldly give up the secondary part to make the main body clear at a glance. The figure should be prominent, forming a simple and generous aesthetic feeling, the posture of the object should be exaggerated, the action should be big, the posture should be beautiful, just like the appearance on the stage, full of rhythm.
