Where does Gansu produce licorice?

Licorice shop is located in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, in the southeast of Yuzhong County, in the middle reaches of Yuanchuan River, 25 kilometers away from the county seat. During Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty (185 1 year-1861year), there was a market for licorice shops. Because this area is rich in licorice, Shaanxi drug dealers often gather here to buy licorice, and set up a number of ethnic pharmacies such as Wanhetang as a distribution market for selling licorice to the whole country.
