What are the classifications of homestays?

The Beijing Tourism Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) will be implemented for half a month from August 1 day this year. The regulations defined the concept of B&B for the first time, but the specific management rules of B&B have not yet been issued. Yesterday, I learned from relevant departments that the detailed rules for the management of public housing are expected to be formulated and implemented next year.

So what are the types of homestays?

According to the location, there are two categories: urban homestays and rural homestays.

B&B City: Developed from a small village, it mainly appears in the form of apartment buildings, featuring modern architecture.

Villagers' lodging: with rural culture as its connotation and relying on the development of scenic spots or regional characteristic resources, it has a strong local flavor.

According to the function, it is divided into two categories: pure accommodation and special service.

Pure accommodation: generally close to scenic spots, relying on the popularity of surrounding scenic spots to develop, with clean and refreshing, low prices and other characteristics.

Special service: It is also a tourist attraction. Usually combined with the surrounding resources to create hot spring health, rural sports and other special themes, to provide agricultural experience, eco-tourism and other services.

According to property rights, there are two categories: traditional homestays and social homestays.

Traditional B&B: Use the vacant rooms in self-occupied houses as a family sideline business.

Social B&B: Foreign investors rent out houses and run them as family businesses.
