What is rru?
Usually, radio remote unit () converts baseband optical signals into radio frequency signals at the far end, and transmits them after amplification. The repeater receives and amplifies the radio frequency signal of the base station, and then transmits it. The difference is that the repeater will amplify the noise at the same time, while the RF remote control will not.
The far end separates the baseband unit from the RF unit of the base station, and the baseband signal is transmitted between them. The optical fiber repeater converts the RF signal coupled with the RF output port of the base station into an optical signal, which is transmitted in the optical fiber, and then converted into RF amplification by the far end!
Radio remote unit (RRU) is divided into four modules: IF module, transceiver module, power amplifier and filter module. Digital IF module is used for modulation and demodulation of optical transmission, digital up-down conversion, A/D conversion, etc. The transceiver module completes the conversion from the intermediate frequency signal to the radio frequency signal; Then, the RF signal is transmitted through the power amplifier and the filter module via the antenna port.
