Difference between mainstream American culture and mainstream European culture?

America is a religious culture with Christianity as its aim. In the view of Americans, those who don't believe in Christ are no different from barbarians, no matter how much wealth they have or how much power they have. If a non-believing barbarian eats meat like a normal Chinese person, it's terrible in their consciousness, and in their view it's eating their own kind, which is an unenlightened people. Of course the United States to freedom for the nature of man, no matter which political party, or which period of reform, freedom is its most can not touch or is the most easy to mention. American thinking changes very quickly, but what has remained unchanged is still religion and freedom, and the Puritans came across the Atlantic to North America with a penchant for freedom and religion, and though to some extent forced to do so, inwardly they longed to open up a new world in a land based on the current American mindset.

For European culture, the continuing development of European art still retains the legacy of Shakespeare, Da Vinci, Mozart, and the other giants of the arts, which became the universal artistic and cultural language of Europe. More important in fact is the identity of the culture generated by the *** same Christian and artistic traditions. But to be sustained by the masters of the Italian Renaissance, the French Impressionists, or the golden age of Spanish art, and by such cultural giants as Bach to Janá?ek, Cervantes and Goethe to Voltaire, and Erasmus and Locke to Hegel, now seems far from enough. And even these brilliant figures were only understood by the best of the best in their time.

The new Europe seems culturally fragmented and difficult to communicate with, while the massive encroachment of American popular culture threatens, on the other hand, the cultural identities of European nations.
