What are disks, floppy disks and hard disks?

Disks are the external memory of computers, which are divided into two types, one is hard disk and the other is floppy disk.

floppy disks are the earliest removable media used in personal computers. The reading and writing of floppy disk is done through floppy disk drive. The hard disk is one of the main storage media of a computer, and consists of one or more disks made of aluminum or glass. The disc is covered with ferromagnetic material. (The hard disk is shown in the picture below)
