What is the meaning of brazing

Brazing, brazing, is a welding method in which a brazing material below the melting point of the weldment and the weldment are simultaneously heated to the melting temperature of the brazing material, and then the liquid brazing material is used to fill the gaps in the solid workpiece to make the metal connection. When brazing, first remove the oxide film and oil on the contact surface of the base material, in order to facilitate the role of the capillary tube in the brazing material melting, increase the wettability of the brazing material and capillary mobility. According to the different melting points of the brazing material, brazing is divided into hard brazing and soft brazing.

Brazing deformation is small, smooth and beautiful joints, suitable for welding precision, complex and composed of different materials components, such as honeycomb structural panels, turbine blades, carbide cutting tools and printed circuit boards.

Expanded Information:

Origin

Brazing is the earliest use of materials by humans. One of the earliest methods of joining materials, brazing was invented to join metals before mankind had even begun to use iron. Among the ancient artifacts unearthed in Egypt, there are tubes brazed with silver and copper brazing materials, and talisman boxes connected with gold brazing materials, which are proved to be 5,000 years old and nearly 4,000 years old respectively. In the ruins of the city of Pompeii, which was buried by a volcanic eruption in 79 A.D., there are remnants of household brazed water pipes connected by brazing, and the brazing material used has a composition ratio of Sn : Pb = 1:2, similar to that of the brazing material used in modern times.

Tin-lead alloy brazing materials were also used in China in the early Warring States period of the 5th century BC, and brazing technology was used extensively in the bronze carriages of the Terracotta Warriors of Qin Shi Huang. China's earliest documented brazing is the Han Dynasty Ban Gu compiled in the "Book of Han" in the cloud: "Hu Tong tears like tears, can be soldered gold and silver, today's craftsmen are used".
