According to Mr. Huang's History Review: The Russian Commissar's Dance, originally called the Gopak Dance/Gopak Dance, is a folk dance popular in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, and there are other claims that the Gopak Dance originated from the Ukrainian Cossacks.
Dance (pinyin: wǔ) is a commonly used Chinese character. The character is first found in the oracle bones of the Shang Dynasty.
