What was Zhu Helai's experience?

Paul grew up in misery, his father died when he was 5 years old, his mother washed and cooked for others, and his brother, Arjom, was a laborer who joined the Red Army. When Paul was 12, his mother sent him to work as a handyman in the station canteen, where he worked for two years and suffered humiliation.

Character Experience

Paul Kochagin, born into a poor railroad worker's family, lost his father at an early age, and relied on his mother to do laundry and cooking for others to make ends meet.
