Are gantry cranes and bridge cranes the same? What kind of driving is it?

Not the same, gantry crane (gantry? Crane) referred to as portal crane, bridge crane (bridge crane? CRANE) is the abbreviation of bridge crane. Simply put, those with legs on both sides are called portal cranes, those without legs on both sides are called bridge cranes, and those with legs on one side are called semi-portal cranes ... We generally refer to bridge cranes.

Because the installation height of cranes in the workshop is limited, and it is easy to lay tracks on the main beams on both sides in the workshop, bridge cranes with no legs and clear height are generally used, while outside the workshop, because the situation is just the opposite, portal cranes are generally installed. Taking hydropower stations as an example, bridge cranes are generally installed in the main powerhouse, and portal cranes are generally installed in dams and tailwaters. The specific classification of cranes is shown in the figure.
