Introduction of Shen'ao Ancient Town

Shen'ao Ancient Town is dominated by Shen'ao Ancient Village and also includes three villages, namely Xu Fanfan, Huanxi and Dipu. The total area is 10.5 hectares (of which Shen'ao Ancient Village is 7.5 hectares). These four villages are arranged in a single line along the west bank of Yingjia Creek. Shen'ao and Dipu are collectively known as Shenpu in history, developed by the founder of the Shentu family after the Southern Song Dynasty; Xu Fanfan is the place where King Xu Yan of Jinhua moved to during the Southern Song Dynasty, developed by the in-laws of the Shentu family, and is now mainly inhabited by the surnames of Xu and Shentu.
