Zhouzhuang, the "First Water Town in China"
Thousands of years of historical vicissitudes and rich Wu culture gave birth to Zhouzhuang, an ancient water town with China characteristics. Its beautiful water town scenery, unique cultural landscape and simple folk customs make it a treasure of oriental culture.
Because of its superior traditional culture, Zhouzhuang has become the cradle of Wu culture and a model of water towns in the south of the Yangtze River. The charm of Zhouzhuang lies in its cultural implication. Shenting, Zhang Ting, Milou, Ye Chuchen's former residence, procedural Taoist temple and Quanfu Temple have certain historical, cultural and ornamental values. Zhang, a writer in the Western Jin Dynasty, and Lu Moxi and Lu Mou, poets in the Tang Dynasty, all lived in Zhouzhuang. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Shen Wansan got the right weather, geographical position and people, and became a rich man in the south of the Yangtze River. In modern times, Liu Mouzi, Chen Mou and other founders of Nanshe once got together to drink and recite poems. Countless contemporary celebrities come to Zhouzhuang to collect folk songs. Taiwan Province writer Sanmou also loves Zhouzhuang.
China painter living in the United States, after painting the oil painting "Shuangqiao", is as famous as Shuangqiao. Painter Wu Mou praised "Zhouzhuang condensed the beauty of China water town"; Architect Luo Mouwen praised "Zhouzhuang is a treasure of China" and so on. Tian Xiaode Folk Collection Museum is a typical building in the middle and late Ming Dynasty. The museum has more than 200,000 pieces of collections in different periods since the Stone Age, among which Ming and Qing furniture, porcelain and jade articles in past dynasties account for a large proportion. The collection truly reflects the development history of Wu culture.
