Where is Wujiang District?
Wujiang City is located on the coast of Taihu Lake, at the southernmost tip of Jiangsu Province, with latitude of 30 46 ′ ~ 314 ′ and longitude of120 21′ ~120 54 ′. It connects Jiaxing and Huzhou in Zhejiang Province in the south, Wuzhong and Kunshan in Suzhou in the north, and Qingpu District in Shanghai in the east, just at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, with excellent geographical position. There are many waterways and lakes in the territory. The city is rich in products and developed in economy, and is known as the "land of plenty" and "house of silk" along the ancient canal. The whole city covers an area of 1 176 square kilometers (excluding the water surface of Taihu Lake), of which the water area is 267.438+0 square kilometers. By the end of 2006, the total registered population of the city was 788,438, which governed 9 towns and 2 provincial economic development zones. In 2006, the investment in highway construction above the municipal level was 22 1 100 million yuan, 53 kilometers of highways above the town level were newly built and rebuilt, and Wujiang section of 230 provincial highway and Sutongli highway were completed and opened to traffic. The density of roads above town level reaches 1.80 km per 100 square kilometers. Basically, a road traffic pattern will be established in which all towns get on expressway within 20 minutes, reach the urban area within 30 minutes and transit vehicles leave the country within 40 minutes. All domestic expressway toll stations have been moved to provincial boundaries. Wujiang is 80km away from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, 22km away from beijing-shanghai railway Suzhou Station, 0/90km away from Shanghai Yangshan Port and 0/05km away from Suzhou Taicang Port. The water and land transportation network extending in all directions connects Wujiang with Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and other large and medium-sized cities, and the transportation of people and goods is very convenient.
