(1) Aquaculture types Aquaculture can be roughly divided into freshwater aquaculture and seawater aquaculture according to the salinity of aquaculture water; According to the different aquaculture waters, it can be divided into rivers, lakes, reservoirs, paddy fields, ponds, shallow seas, beaches and harbors. According to the different culture methods, it can be divided into pond culture, large-scale surface fish culture, factory (circulating water) fish culture, beach culture, shallow sea culture, harbor culture and marine pasture culture.

(2) Main freshwater aquaculture varieties

1 fish. There are about 800 species of freshwater fish in China, and about 250 species are of economic value. Among them, there are about 40 species with high yield and important economic value, mainly including: bighead carp (scale-free fish of northwest Cyprinidae), sturgeon (sturgeon schrenckii and paddlefish), paddlefish, bream, bream, carp, crucian carp, herring and goby (juvenile fish is commonly known as spring fish).

② Crustaceans. Procambarus clarkii mainly includes Macrobrachium nipponense, Macrobrachium rosenbergii, Macrobrachium giganteum and Eriocheir sinensis (hairy crab).

③ Other varieties. There are mainly goldfish, koi fish, crucian carp, Chinese soft-shelled turtle, tortoise, Brazilian colorful turtle, crocodile turtle, giant salamander, river snail, freshwater mussel wide-body golden leech and so on.

(3) Main cultured species of seawater

1 shellfish. The main species are: variegated clam, Shih Tzu, Meretrix meretrix, mussel (shell), scallop (bay scallop, shrimp scallop, Pacific scallop), mussel (sea red, mussel), pike, oyster (Hawaiian oyster, Pacific oyster), green clam and mussel.

② Algae. Mainly kelp, Undaria pinnatifida, laver, Cladosporium, Spirulina and so on.

③ Shrimp (crustacean). There are mainly China prawn (Oriental prawn), Japanese prawn, Penaeus monodon, South American brown prawn, South American blue prawn, South American white prawn, Portunus trituberculatus, Japanese, Scylla serrata, Diptera, prawn and tiger crab.

4 fish. There are mainly river fish, spotted fish, oriental fish and blue star oriental fish. ), red snapper, black snapper, snapper, horse face _ (skinning wolf, horse barge fish), tongue sole, eel, mullet, pike, etc.
