Songkran Festival, also known as Songkran Festival and Bathing Buddha Festival, is the largest traditional festival of Thai-speaking people and Southeast Asia, and it is also the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in China.
On that day, the Dai people in Thailand, Laos, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia and China all celebrated this festival, and various ethnic groups in Southeast Asia also passed on relevant customs in overseas settlements. The whole festival lasted several days. People get up early in the morning to bathe in Buddhism, splash purified water on each other and pray to wash away the troubles of the past year. The first two days of the Songkran Festival are to go to the old and welcome the new.
