Is Russia a traditional European country

The Asian part of Russia's territory accounts for about three-fourths of its territory, but it is recognized as a European country in the world, mainly because (1) its European part was the core of Russia's emergence, and since its emergence as a state in the ninth century A.D. it has been Russia's political, economic, and cultural center, and the base camp for its outward expansion; and (2) after the victory of the October Revolution, wherever the Soviet Union's productivity layout has changed considerably since World War II, with the emergence of a series of energy bases, raw material bases, and new industrial centers in the Asian part of the country, the traditional centrality of the European part of the country has not changed, and it remains the focus of Russian operations to this day; (3) the European part of the country is Russia's most populous and economically developed region, and it is home to three-fourths of the country's population, gross industrial and agricultural output and transportation routes, consumes four-fifths of the country's energy, etc.; (4) the capital city of Moscow is located in the center of the European part of Russia. Thus, Russia is a traditionally European country, not an Asian one, in terms of its history, geography or cultural present. This is recognized by the world.
