What are the techniques of ink color mixing?

It is only possible to rely on the skills and experience accumulated over the years by the operators. It takes at least 8 to 10 years for a reliable spot-color ink mixer to be able to fully control the color changes when mixing inks.

Traditional color mixing:

The master will usually use his past experience or find out the approximate ink type from the spot color identification, and some of them even rely on his personal feeling to take out the quantity, and then use the electronic weighing scale to measure the required quantity, and then put the ink on the palette to mix. After mixing, a small amount of ink is taken out and scraped on the substrate with a spatula to check whether the color is correct or not. Found off-color, and then add a small amount of ink for fine-tuning, after the completion of the record on the paper to carefully record the amount and type of ink, in order to prepare for the modulation of a large number of spot-color ink.
