What is the difference between cmos camera and ccd camera in industrial camera?
For non-professional digital cameras, ccd is certainly better than cmos.
The advantage of ccd lies in its good imaging quality. However, due to the complex manufacturing process, only a few manufacturers can master it, so the manufacturing cost remains high, especially the large ccd, which is very expensive.
At the same resolution, cmos is cheaper than ccd, but the image quality produced by cmos devices is lower than ccd.
So far, most consumer-grade and high-end digital cameras on the market use ccd as sensors; Cmos sensors are used as low-end products in some cameras.
There are also some low-priced "suspected" digital cameras in the market, which are essentially so-called "digital cameras". The cameras have been modified and claimed to be tens of millions of pixels (actually software interpolation, not real pixels). The photosensitive element used is low-grade cmos.
However, in digital SLR cameras, there are also some high-end models that use newly developed high dynamic range cmos devices (complete charge transfer technology in pixels).
This technology does not need shutter, aperture, automatic gain control and gamma correction, which makes it close to the imaging quality of ccd. In addition, due to the inherent plasticity of cmos, large cmos photoreceptors with high pixels can be manufactured without increasing too much cost.
