Because of Qu Yuan's patriotism, he was moved to return to the state of Chu, and was willing to accept King Haxiang of Chu's recruitment, and swore to defend the state of Chu to the death.

After the Battle of Chusha, Chuang Chuan was against the autonomy of Chu, and became an enemy of Chu. Qu Yuan was a native of Chu, and missed the unity of the previous situation. In his later years, Qu Yuan was displaced in the Yuan and Xiang valleys, devoting his whole heart to the country. But in the end, what he got in return was a divided country and a broken family.
