Dragon Boat Festival special food
The Dragon Boat Festival features dumplings, cakes, fried dumplings, steamed buns, garlic eggs, tea eggs and Huang Wu, including yellow croaker, cucumber, eel, duck egg yolk and realgar wine. Eating zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional custom in China, which generally has various shapes such as regular triangle, regular quadrangle, pointed triangle, square and strip. Because of the different eating habits, there are two kinds of zongzi: salty zongzi and sweet zongzi.
