1. European cat species include Persian cat, Norwegian forest cat, Siberian cat, British shorthair cat, etc.

2. The types of Asian cats are: Portman cat, Turkish Brahma cat, Siamese cat, Burmese cat, China pastoral cat, etc.

3. American cats include Maine Cat, Bag Cat, Mengmai Cat, Bengal Cat, American Shorthair Cat and Hairless Cat.

4. African cats include Karakal cats and serval cats.

At present, there are more than 100 kinds of cats in the world, among which more than 30 kinds are common, and more than 40 kinds are certified by CFA (International Cat Federation) in the United States. Different kinds of cats also have different appearances, and a species may have several to a dozen different appearances. For example, purebred Persian long-haired cats include white cats, milk yellow cats, red and white cats, blue and white cats, red and tabby cats, black and white cats and so on.

Cats, belonging to cats, are widely used as pets in families all over the world, with parasites such as tinea, fleas and Toxoplasma gondii. The ancestors of domestic cats are supposed to be desert cats in ancient Egypt and Persian cats in Persia, which have been domesticated by humans for 3500 years (but not completely domesticated like dogs).

Ordinary cats: round head, short face, five fingers on forelimbs, four toes on hind limbs, sharp and curved claws on toes, retractable, and capable of night vision.

Hunting other animals by ambush, most of them will climb trees. Cats have fat pads at the bottom of their toes to avoid making noise when walking and not scaring away mice when hunting. When walking, the claws are in a contracted state to prevent them from becoming dull and protruding when catching mice and climbing.
