Teaching content and steps:
First, import
Please enjoy a couplet: a small stage and a big stage. This couplet clearly tells us that drama is a comprehensive performing art, but from the moment it comes into being, it is a true reflection of life. It comes from life, which shows life vividly, so that we can feel the true meaning of life while being influenced by art. Today, we will learn a work that truly reflects the social life and shows the social contradictions at that time: Dou Eyuan, the masterpiece of Guan Hanqing, a master of drama in the Yuan Dynasty.
Second, the author and work introduction
Brief introduction of Guan Hanqing:
Guan Hanqing was born in Dadu (now Beijing) at the end of Jin Dynasty and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty. The representative writer of Yuan Zaju is also the earliest and greatest drama writer in the history of China drama. Along with Zheng Guangzu, Bai Pu and Ma Zhiyuan, it is known as the "Four Masters of Yuan Opera". People in the Yuan Dynasty said that he was "born to stir, learned to be literate, funny and intelligent, and won the championship for a while." He once said in the Sanqu "A Flower in Lunan, Not Old" that he has a beautiful melody, can recite poems, play the piano, sing and dance, play chess and shoot arrows, and is versatile.
The class contradictions and ethnic contradictions in the Yuan Dynasty were very sharp. Guan Hanqing was dissatisfied with social reality. He not only writes plays, but also sometimes sings on stage, exposing the dark reality through zaju and pinning his social ideals. He wrote more than 60 zaju in his life, but most of them have been lost, and now only 15 is left. Dou E's Injustice, Saving the Wind, Wangjiang Pavilion and Single Knife Club are widely circulated. Among them, Dou E Yuan is one of the top ten classical tragedies in China. 1956, his name was included in the list of world cultural celebrities.
2. Introduce Yuan Zaju:
Yuan Zaju has a strict system:
(1) Structure: Generally, Yuan Zaju is a complete story with a 60% discount, and some are 50% discount, 60% discount or several consecutive performances.
Folding is the unit of music organization and the natural paragraph of story development. Not limited by time and place, each fold mostly contains more times, similar to the "curtain" of modern drama. Some zaju also have a "wedge", which usually plays an explanatory role before the first discount. It is equivalent to the prologue of modern drama, which is used to explain the plot and introduce the characters.
A set of songs composed of songs in the same palace tune at each discount of zaju. During the performance, a book is 60% off, all of which are solo by Zheng Di or Zheng Dan. (other characters only say it), which are called "the last book" or "the last book" respectively.
(2) Role: The roles played are extreme, bold, clean and ugly.
There is only one protagonist in every play of Yuan Zaju. The hero is called the ending, and the heroine is called Zheng Dan. In addition, supporting roles also include auxiliary actors (secondary protagonists), peripheral actors (elderly men) and young actors (teenagers). Supporting actresses include Vice Dan, Waidan and Xiao Dan.
Jing: Commonly known as "big painted face", most of them play characters with distinctive personality and appearance. Such as Zhang Fei and Li Kui jy.
Ugliness: commonly known as "little face", it generally plays a male secondary role.
In addition, there are Ba (bó) Lao (old man), Bo 'er (old woman), Gu (official) and Lai 'er (page).
(3) Composition of the script: The script consists of three parts: singing, learning and writing.
Lyrics are rhymes written according to certain palace tunes and qupai. It is stipulated in the Yuan Dynasty Zaju that every time a play is broken, a set of songs with the same Gongdiao is sung, and the order of Gongdiao and each set of songs is established.
Paragraph is the general name of dramatic action. Including stage programming, martial arts and dance.
White is "guest white", which is the spoken part of the people in the play. Bai Bin can be divided into the following four categories: dialogue: dialogue between characters; Monologue: the characters narrate themselves; Narrator: Recite the psychological words of other characters; White: a break in the lyrics.
Bai Bin is an important organic part of Yuan Zaju. The so-called "the story is wonderful after the end of the song" just illustrates this point.
Third, clarify the dramatic plot of this article:
The first part: (at the beginning ~ "Alas, only two tears fell") writes that Dou E denounces the ghosts and gods of heaven and earth and exposes the injustice of the world.
The second part: ("(The Executioner Ziyun" Act quickly "~" Nameless, wronged ") writes about Dou E's farewell to her mother-in-law.
