New Year's Eve to eat "New Year's dinner", is the most grand, the most sumptuous family feast of the year. The traditional dishes commonly served at New Year's Eve in the homes of ordinary people include wakame, round rice balls, Yuanbao fish, dried plums, and roasted pork with bean curd and fruits.
