Masterpieces of Famous Ancient Chinese Painters
1, "Luoshen Fu Figure"
One of the ten most famous heirloom paintings in China. The original "Luoshen Fugu" scroll, the famous painter Gu Kaizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty painted (Song copy), silk, color, 27.1cm longitudinally, 572.8cm horizontally. this painting is based on Cao Zhi's famous "Luoshen Fugu," which is a masterpiece of Gu Kaizhi's heirloom.
The whole scroll is divided into three parts, depicting the sincere and pure love story between Cao Zhi and the God of Luo in a detailed yet layered manner. This scroll is one of the treasures of classical Chinese painting in terms of its content, artistic structure, characterization, environmental depiction, and form of ink and brush expression.
2. "The Heavenly King Delivering His Son"
The Heavenly King Delivering His Son (also known as "The Heavenly King Delivering His Son" and "The Descent of Sakyamuni") is an ink and brush painting on paper created by Wu Daozi in the Tang Dynasty according to the Buddhist text "Ruiyinbenjiai Jing," which is also said to be copied by a Song artist. The work is now in the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art, Japan.
The painting is divided into three sections: the first depicts a heavenly deity with a kingly bearing seated in the center, flanked by courtiers holding tensile boards, nymphs holding inkstones, and military generals and warriors with swords around a snake facing a huge dragon subdued by the two deities.
The second section of the painting is a perched on top of the stone four-armed hair god, behind the flames. The statue is bizarre and imposing, and to the left and right are celestial goddesses and goddesses holding bottles and stoves.
The third section of the "Shi Ying Mouni birth picture", the content is the birth of the son of the King of India Jinyi birth story. From the picture, you can see that when Shih Ying Muni was born, his father held him in his arms and went to the temple to pay a visit to the God of Self-Realization.
This picture is written exotic stories, but the painting of people, ghosts, gods, beasts and so on, but completely Chinese, Taoism, when Buddhism and China's local changes to the Tang Dynasty is increasingly fusion of the situation. In this picture, the celestial maiden is holding a flower in her hand, dancing and scattering, while the Bodhisattva on the opposite side looks at ease and smiles, and the several Lohan around her are already attracted by the celestial maiden's dance and show their appreciation. Figure in addition to the bodhisattva head wearing a crown, clad in necklace, maintaining the traditional styling features, the rest of the image seems to be from the mortal world, with the effect of realistic and vivid.
4, "spring tour"
"Spring tour" is the Sui dynasty painter Zhan Ziqi created paintings, is now stored in the Palace Museum in Beijing painting museum. The picture shows the situation of the water and the sky, on the green mountains, the lake is melting, there are scholars horseback riding mountain paths or stationed at the lake, there are also beautiful ladies boating on the water, smoky wind and warm, the water surface shimmering, the shore of the peach and apricot blossom, green grass like Yin Yin.
The painter used green and green landscape, depicting the foot of the mountain with gold, ochre filled with tree trunks, remote panoramic view, the figures are properly laid out, the first in the Tang Dynasty Jinbi landscape, very representative of the early landscape paintings. The painting is the only work of Zhan Ziqi that has been handed down to the world, and it is also the oldest surviving scroll to date.
5, "Qingming Riverside Drawing"
Qingming Riverside Drawing is one of the ten most famous heirloom paintings in China. For the Northern Song dynasty custom painting, the Northern Song dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan only see the surviving boutique, belongs to the national treasure level cultural relics, is now hidden in the Palace Museum in Beijing.
The painting is 24.8 centimeters wide and 528.7 centimeters long, with colors on silk. The work is in the form of a long scroll, using the scattered perspective composition method, vividly recording the cityscape of Tokyo (also known as Bianjing, present-day Kaifeng, Henan Province), the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty in the twelfth century of China, and the living conditions of the people of all social strata at that time, which is a witness to the prosperity of Bianjing, the capital city of the Northern Song Dynasty, as well as a reflection of the economic situation of the Northern Song Dynasty city.
This is unique in China and even in the history of world painting. In the five-meter-long scroll,**** painted a huge number of people of all colors, cattle, mules, donkeys and other livestock, cars, sedan chairs, large and small boats, houses, bridges, city buildings, etc. each with its own characteristics, reflecting the characteristics of Song Dynasty architecture. It has high historical and artistic value.
