In Shandong, there is a kind of homespun called hemp flower cloth, which is durable and deeply loved by local people. Meng Hong was promoted to be a thrifty housekeeper, traveling between the city and the countryside all the year round, selling large twisted cloth. After years of hard work, he saved some money. Tongzhi nine years (1870) in Jinan Kairuifubudian (later renamed Ruifuxiang).
Although Meng Hongsheng is a businessman, he is very studious, has a good study of literature and ink, and has met several ruined literati. Meng Hongsheng thinks that the names of most shops are vulgar and not desirable. He wants to give his cloth shop an elegant and auspicious name. Therefore, he specially invited several friends to visit his home. After careful consideration, several people think that "Ruifu" is a good word and can be used as a name. In ancient times, there was a legendary insect called green dragonfly, which was slightly larger than cicada and could gather copper coins. Later, people called the green flag copper coins. "Ruifu" means not only bringing good luck to people, but also amassing more money. After opening, business is really booming. In the sixth year of Guangxu (1880), Meng Hongsheng died, and his son Meng Luochuan became the general manager of the Swiss government. Meng Luochuan is a promising young man. He is good at thinking. After he took charge of Swiss Fu, his business became more prosperous. In order to expand his business, he set up a weaving factory in Zhangqiu, specializing in weaving large twisted cloth and selling it himself. The facade of the store has been expanded from two to three, and the name of "Ruifuxiang" has also been changed to "Ruifuxiang" for a more auspicious meaning.
In the 16th year of Guangxu reign (1890), Meng Luochuan once traveled to Beijing, where he saw many tourists and his business was booming. After returning to Jinan, he asked the staff in the store to take an apprentice and transport some big twisted cloth to Beijing for sale by cart. Shandong's hemp flower cloth is very popular with some people in Beijing, and the cloth is sold out soon. In the 19th year of Guangxu (1893), he negotiated with Hou to open a shop in Beijing.
Ruifuxiang's business style is: authentic, childlike; Moreover, high, medium and low-grade goods are complete, including silks and satins, woolen goods and furs needed by bureaucrats, wealthy businessmen and large families, as well as blue cloth, white cloth and printed cloth used by ordinary civilians and rural farmers. Ruifuxiang's silks and satins are all woven in Suzhou, and the words "Ruifuxiang" are woven on each thread head. Rui Fu-xiang's colored fabrics are most popular with the working people, because they are all made of fine cotton yarn and handed over to the workshop for weaving and dyeing. This cloth shrinks less and does not fade.
In addition, when doing business with nobles, bureaucrats and rich households, Rui Fuxiang generally does not need cash to buy things, and adopts bookkeeping and year-end settlement. For example, Yuan Shikai, Duan, Li and Wu during the warlord period, Wang and Wang Kemin during the fall of Beiping, and some bureaucrats during the Kuomintang period all bought Rui Fuxiang's things. Some transactions cost 10 thousand yuan at a time. No matter how much they buy, they keep accounts.
Ruifuxiang's business is booming and developing rapidly. In the early years of the Republic of China, Ruifuxiang Hongji Silk Store and Ruifuxiang Leather Store were opened at the west entrance of Dashilan. Soon, Donghongji Tea Shop and Xihongji Tea Shop were opened in the east and west of Dashilan respectively. And using Ruifuxiang's profits, he opened several Ruifuxiang silk shops in Tianjin, Qingdao and Yantai. Shengxifu Hat Shop on Wangfujing Street, Shengxifu is a famous time-honored brand in Beijing. The first branch of Tianjin Shengxifu Corporation was opened at 1937.
Before liberation, Shengxifu head office was in Tianjin, and its founder was Liu Xisan. Liu Xisan, whose real name is Zhan En, is from Shahe, Ye County, Shandong Province. His family has been farming for generations. He studied for a few years when he was a child, and later dropped out of school because his family was poor, so he helped his father to work in the fields. One year, his hometown was affected by the disaster, the farmland failed to harvest, and the villagers made a living everywhere. He also left home to do odd jobs in a restaurant run by foreigners in Qingdao. He is diligent and studious, because he often deals with foreigners and learns some daily English in the restaurant. Soon, Liu Xisan left the hotel and worked as a salesman in a foreign company, responsible for buying straw hats in the countryside. Braids of straw hats are used to make straw hats. Foreign companies collect them, transport them abroad to make straw hats, and then sell them back to China for high profits.
Liu Xisan worked in a foreign firm for several years, and he knew the quality, variety, origin and production of straw hats clearly, so he wanted to make them himself. Why should foreigners earn China people's money? In the next few years, he scrimped and saved a sum of money. In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), he and his friends jointly set up a Shengjufu kitten shop in Tianjin Appraisal Street. After opening the store, the business is booming and it is profitable every year. Later, Liu broke up with his friends because of a conflict with Dongbang. In this way, Sheng Jufu's business was assigned to Liu Xisan, and he was determined to make it bigger. He got a considerable loan from the Southeast Bank, chose a good store site in Tianjin French Concession 2 1 Road, changed Shengjufu into Shengxifu, and reopened in the sixth year of the Republic of China (19 17). Sheng means prosperous business, and both Fu and Sheng are taken from Liu Xisan's name (Liu Xisan's real name is Frye).
In order to create a famous brand and prevent others from copying and counterfeiting, Liu Xisan applied to the then government for registration of the trademark "Three Hats". The three hats are a hard hat, a wool hat and a three-tile fur hat in Siping. "Three" is also taken from the suffix of Liu Xisan's name.
Liu Xisan has opened four Shengxifu branches in Beijing. 1936, Xidan North Street opened in Shengxifu; 1937, Qianmen Street and Wangfujing Street opened in Shengxifu; 1938, the opening of Shengxi House on the beach. These four hat shops are managed by Chang Ruilong, a big apprentice on the counter.
After the liberation of Beijing, Shengxifu Hat Shop on Wangfujing Street participated in the public-private partnership. At the same time, Shengxifu on Wangfujing Street also has the task of serving national leaders and foreign guests. They once made a distribution dome for President Mao Zedong. In 1950s, Shengxifu made a straw hat for Foreign Minister Chen Yi's visit to Indonesia. In the 1960s, Premier Zhou wore an otter fur hat when he visited Moscow, which was also made by Shengxifu. During his visit to Moscow, President Liu Shaoqi made an American fur hat with a round edge in San Sifu. Ulanhu, Wan Li and other comrades also made hats in Shengxifu. North Korean Prime Minister Kim Il Sung once made a sea dragon fur hat in Saint Seibu, and Indonesian President Su Jianuo made a three-fur hat. Sihanouk's wife, monique, also made hats in San Sifu. There are countless people from all walks of life at home and abroad who come to St. Xifu, Wangfujing Street to buy custom hats. There is a jingle in old Beijing called "Wear Ma Juyuan, wear Rui Fu Xiang, climb the ankle inline, and wrap the waist around four constancies". Wear the hat of Ma Juyuan hat shop to show the noblest; Rui Fuxiang's silk clothes are the most glorious to wear. It was named inline promotion, which means "ouchi" and the Qing government. It means that if you put on my boots, you can be promoted to the third level. At that time, many superstitious people were willing to listen to auspicious words, and the name inline rose catered to their psychology of being an official.
After the opening of Inline, the business is very prosperous. Inline promotion is a matter for Manchu government officials, and ordinary small officials and collectors have to come to the store in person to order and buy; And those officials above the middle level will usually send people in the industry to make boots for them. With this kind of in-shoe preparation, according to its records, the boots made will definitely meet the feet. This not only saves the shop trouble and runs less, but also saves customers a lot of time. Customers are also very happy and customers will stop.

According to legend, Buyingzhai Shoe Store was founded in the eighth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (AD 1858). It was made by Li Jian, an official of the Tang Dynasty.
