What is fossil fuel?
Fossil fuel, also known as fossil fuel, is a hydrocarbon or its derivative. The natural resources contained in fossil fuels are coal, oil and natural gas. The use of fossil fuels can make the industry develop on a large scale, instead of waterwheels, wood or peat can be burned and heated. When generating electricity, the burning of fossil fuels will generate energy, which will drive turbines to generate electricity. Old generators use steam as fuel to drive turbines. At present, many power stations will directly use gas turbine engines. In the process of global modernization, fossil fuels are facing a potential energy shortage crisis, especially gasoline extracted from oil, which is one of the reasons leading to the global oil crisis. At present, the global trend is to develop renewable energy and nuclear energy, which will help increase global energy demand. The continuous burning of fossil fuels by human beings is one of the sources of greenhouse gas carbon dioxide emission and one of the factors that accelerate global warming. In addition, carbon dioxide in biofuels comes from the atmosphere, so developing biofuels can reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, thus reducing the greenhouse effect.
