The writing method of card notes originated from Luhmann's card box notes; It can be divided into three categories: flash notes, document notes and permanent notes.

First, flash.

Second, literary notes.

When recorded in formal words, it becomes a document note. Documentary bills can be stored in a card box and kept forever.

When reading, if you see something useful or interesting, you should understand and record it according to your own language style and unified format. This is also a document comment. The purpose of note-taking is to understand and think rather than to store, which is the principle that runs through the card note-taking method.

Third, permanent notes.

After thinking about the contents of literature notes, write down your own opinions, comments and ideas, which is a permanent note. It is somewhat similar to the concept of "metacognition", cognitive cognition. This helps to think more deeply about the value of notes. If you are mature when taking flash notes, you can also directly classify them as permanent notes after recording.

Of course, there is another important principle in taking permanent notes: comparing the relationship with the original notes is a contradiction, an extension or a supplement. The value of permanent notes lies in helping to discover new ideas.
