What is intelligent building?

Building automation system, also called Building Automation System (BAS for short), is an indispensable part of intelligent building. Its task is to monitor and control the energy use, environment, traffic and safety facilities in the building, so as to provide a safe, reliable, energy-saving and comfortable working or living environment.

Composition and basic functions of building automation system:

Building equipment automation system usually includes subsystems such as HVAC, water supply and drainage, power supply and distribution, lighting, elevator, fire protection and safety precautions. According to China's industry standards, BAS can be divided into equipment operation management and monitoring subsystem and fire protection and safety prevention subsystem. In general, these two subsystems should be taken into consideration by BAS together. If the fire and safety prevention subsystem is set up independently, it should also establish communication with BAS monitoring center so that when the disaster happens, the operation right can be transferred according to the agreement and integrated coordinated control can be carried out.
