What is a monitor?
Composition and working principle of liquid crystal display
The display consists of two plates with a thickness of about 1mm, with a uniform interval of 5um between them, and contains liquid crystal materials. Because the liquid crystal material itself does not emit light, there is a lamp at the bottom of the display screen as a light source, and there is a backlight and a reflective film on the back of the LCD screen. The backlight board is made of fluorescent substances, which can emit light, and its main function is to provide uniform backlight.
Between the glass plate and the liquid crystal material are transparent electrodes, which are divided into rows and columns. At the intersection of rows and columns, the optical rotation state of liquid crystal is changed by changing the voltage. The liquid crystal cooperates with the polarizing plate to prevent light from passing through. If the liquid crystal is matched with the color filter and the voltage applied to it is changed, the light transmittance of a certain color can be changed.
