What animal does Indonesian dance imitate?
The basic postures of Indonesian dance movements are: crouching with two legs, holding the center of gravity with one foot, not collapsing, keeping the body upright, keeping the head straight, leaning forward, and looking down with eyes. Dance movements are mostly taken from the imitation of animals. They imitate the movements of elephants and vultures. Music is accompanied by bronze drums and gongs.
The most representative of Indonesian dance style is Balinese dance. Bali has beautiful scenery and is called "Poetic Island" and "Paradise Island" by writer Yang Shuo. The dance style here is unique. Balinese people are full of passionate enthusiasm, singing and dancing, and the dance is very infectious.
Bali dance has also been influenced by Indian dance, and gradually developed into a Bali dance performance style. The traditional dances in Bali are "Shanhajia Dance" and "Bannai Dance".
