Advantages and disadvantages of pop music and classical music

In a narrow sense, it refers to classical music, which is the mainstream music in Europe during the period of 1750- 1820, also known as Vienna classical music school. The three most famous composers of this genre are Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. The advantage of classical music lies in its strong cultural background. Composers have certain historical knowledge and social judgment ability, and integrate their own thinking about the world, nature and society into songs. It can be a song that can still be amazing after a thousand years.

Pop music refers to commodity music, which is mainly created to promote commodities and attract customers' attention. It has a strong commercial flavor of music and entertainment, and its commerciality is the main and artistry is the secondary. Therefore, composers of pop music don't need too much knowledge, as long as they have a certain foundation of music theory, and they are required to attract others, so naturally they won't be too literary, only those fast-paced songs will stir up the atmosphere at the scene.
