Introduction to Naxi Culture

The Naxi people are an ancient civilization, and their script is the oldest hieroglyphic script of the ethnic minorities in Yunnan. More than a thousand years ago, the Naxi people practiced the primitive witchcraft of "Dongbaism", which is a religion of many gods. The Dongba culture originated from the Dongba religion. Dongba culture includes hieroglyphics, Dongba scriptures, Dongba paintings, Dongba music and dance, etc., which are the only remaining hieroglyphics in the world. Therefore, it has attracted great attention from scholars all over the world. Dongba Wen is known as "the treasure of Dongba culture" is the Naxi people in the traditional religion of Dongba scripture used in a kind of picture writing, by the Dongba (Dongba religion shaman) with a bamboo-tipped pen or copper-tipped pen dipped in ink made of pine smoke and wine, glue, bile, written on the bark of the thick cotton paper.
