Nissan NEXT strategic transition, Nissan to stop selling fuel vehicles in China after 2025

According to foreign media reports, Nissan plans to offer only hybrid and pure-electric models in China from 2025, and will stop selling traditional fuel models. This will be an important goal for Nissan to implement the "Nissan Intelligent" program at the product level, as well as the "Nissan?NEXT" strategic transformation at the corporate strategy level.

By 2023, nearly half of Nissan's product lines will have completed the electrification transition, and Nissan will launch nine electrified models in China by 2025, including pure electric and hybrid powertrains. As Nissan's first pure-electric SUV, the?Ariya has previously made its domestic debut at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show.

On the exterior, the Nissan Ariya is designed with the theme of "timeless Japanese futurism" and continues the classic design elements of the Nissan IMx zero-emission concept car. Nissan's iconic V-motion front grille, distinctive light clusters, short front and rear overhangs, and a spacious interior that distinguishes it from conventional models have all been retained.

The large inverted trapezoidal V-motion grille is fully enclosed as it is no longer needed for air intake, and features graduated scales on the interior. LED daytime running lamps extend from the bottom of the headlamp clusters to the sides of the grille, providing a high degree of recognition and lowering the vehicle's visual center of gravity.

Additionally, the Nissan Ariya features Nissan's latest flattened badge style, which gives it a stronger sense of future technology.

Interior, Nissan Ariya adopts a very simple sci-fi design style, the center console mainly consists of a traditional steering wheel, large LCD display and hidden touch panel, the interior will be equipped with the new Nissan?Connect intelligent connectivity system. The advanced ProPilot?2.0 Intelligent Pilot Technology, ProPilot Remote Intelligent Parking System (ProPILOT?Remote?Park) and e-Pedal Integrated Intelligent Pedal will provide drivers and passengers with a more confident and relaxed driving experience.

Dynamically, the Nissan Ariya is available in two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive models equipped with Nissan's e-4ORCE dual-motor all-wheel-control technology, as well as two different battery capacities. The entry version is equipped with a single motor and adopts a front-wheel drive design, with a maximum power of 218 hp and a maximum torque of 300 N-m; the higher-end version is equipped with front and rear dual motors, and adopts a four-wheel drive matched with the TTESA?E-TS torque distribution system, with a maximum power of 389 hp and a maximum torque of 600 N-m, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 s. The power battery is divided into two capacity versions, namely, 63kWh and 87kWh capacity versions, with a combined range of 483km and a maximum range of 610km, and a range of 375km can be charged in 30 minutes in fast-charging mode.
