Food sampling inspection is a process of selective sampling and inspection of different kinds and quantities of food through scientific and reasonable mathematical sampling methods. Because of the huge amount of food, it is impossible to inspect every product. Reasonable sampling can greatly reduce the workload of food inspection on the premise of ensuring inspection coverage.

Sampling personnel should take the initiative to show the valid identity documents such as the Notice of Food Safety Sampling Inspection and the work permit to the sampled unit, inform the sampled unit to read the description of the sampled unit on the back of the notice, and inform the sampled unit of the nature of sampling inspection, the variety of sampled food and other relevant information. If the inspection agency undertakes the sampling work, it shall also issue the Power of Attorney for Food Safety Sampling Inspection or a copy thereof.

2. Check the license and qualification.

Require the sampled unit to provide business license, food production license, food business license and other relevant legal qualification certificates to confirm that the sampled unit is legally producing and operating, and the sampled food belongs to the category permitted by the legal qualification of the sampled unit.

During the sampling inspection, it was found that the sampled unit had no business license or license. , unable to determine the qualification or beyond the scope of production and operation, it shall immediately stop sampling and report to the food and drug supervision department that organizes sampling inspection.

If the sampling unit is an inspection institution, it shall report to the food and drug supervision department with jurisdiction for handling, and timely report to the food and drug supervision department that organizes sampling inspection.
