Introduce five traditional German dishes.
1, German trotters
Let me first introduce the famous German pig's feet, also known as German salty pig's hands and German hooves. Compared with China's trotters, German trotters are more accurately called hoofs. It uses fat pig hind legs, salted, boiled or roasted with fire, and served with German sauerkraut.
Smoked trotters are cooked trotters, and the flavor of traditional German seasonings is completely sealed in the trotters by charcoal smoke. Pig's feet look shiny and smooth, with soft and chewy skin and elastic fat parts. But the cooking method is time-consuming and laborious. In addition to more than ten kinds of spices, sawdust and charcoal are also needed for smoking. After smoking, cut into thin slices and serve with a glass of dark beer or rye juice (a nutritious drink in Germany, slightly bitter in taste). It really makes people chew meat.
2. Sausage
There are many kinds of sausages, and almost every region has its own representative sausages with different sizes, colors and salty tastes. It is estimated that there are more than 1500 kinds of sausages, among which there are more than 780 kinds of boiled sausages, such as German minced meat sausages and German afternoon tea sausages.
The most common way for Germans to eat is with German sauerkraut and bread. Of course, there are also rich sauces or fried sausages or salads. When sausage was introduced to America, it became a famous fast food-hot dog.
3. Kimchi
Sauerkraut is a traditional German food, pickled with cabbage or kohlrabi. German sauerkraut is rich in lactic acid, vitamins A, B, C, minerals and fiber, and contains carbohydrates and protein needed by human body. During the ocean voyage in18th century, due to the limited conditions, the crew could not eat fresh vegetables. In order to prevent scurvy caused by vitamin deficiency, ocean-going ships often bring a lot of sauerkraut. Now in Germany, sauerkraut has become a must-have food in winter.
Sauerkraut can stimulate appetite and help digestion, especially with German meat set meal, which can reduce the greasy feeling of dishes and keep every bite fresh and delicious. Therefore, sauerkraut cannot be separated from German trotters and sausages.
4. German beer
Germans like drinking beer very much. German beer is divided into more than 20 kinds, 1500 kinds. Because of the diversity of brewing formulas, it is not surprising that so many kinds of beer are produced. Beer with sausage and pig's hand is the most classic match.
The best beer drinkers in Germany are Bavarians. Bavaria has 1052 breweries, which is the largest brewery in Germany. The 10 Oktoberfest in Munich, its capital, is a world-famous festival.
