Is it better to use an electronic dictionary or a general dictionary to learn English?
I am a foreign trade English major, and I do have a lot of words to look up during my study, but I still choose to use an Oxford dictionary rather than an electronic dictionary. I know from experience that using an electronic dictionary is really convenient, and it may let you know the meaning of words very quickly, but it's a very short-lived knowledge, and from the point of view of memorization, it's far less than what you can achieve by using a dictionary. In addition, a dictionary, like the Oxford Dictionary, has more detailed explanations of words, examples, etc. than an electronic dictionary. So, if you want to learn English well, you are advised to use a general dictionary.
