Shenzhen, also known as Pengcheng, is located on the east coast of the Pearl River Delta in the south of China, and belongs to Guangdong Province of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is the first special economic zone in China, and was formally established on August 26th with the approval of the State Council. 1980. The total land area of the city is 1953 square kilometers, and in July, 20 10, Shenzhen Special Economic Zone officially expanded to the whole city. After 30 years of construction and development, Shenzhen has developed from a former border town into a new modern city with certain international influence, creating a remarkable "Shenzhen speed". The Blue Book of China's Urban Competitiveness in 2009: China Urban Competitiveness Report 2008 issued by China Academy of Social Sciences ranks the comprehensive competitiveness of 294 cities above prefecture level, and Shenzhen ranks second. The languages used in this city are Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka.
