After Tan Pingshan and others returned to Guangzhou from Beiping via Shanghai, through the relationship of fellow villagers, classmates and colleagues, they quickly got to know a group of advanced young people who emerged in the May 4th Movement, such as Tan Tiandu, Chen, Feng Jupo, Ruan Xiaoxian, Liu Ersong, Zhou Qijian, Zhang, Liang Zaire, Guo Zhisheng, Wang Hanbo, Liu Juefei, Chen Zhuosheng and Liang Tiebo. They aimed at these young people and quickly developed more than 10 league members.
