What is the best method for cholecystitis surgery?

The best method of surgery for cholecystitis is, of course, LC (laparoscopic cholecystectomy).

But cholecystitis may not always require surgery.

Surgical indications for cholecystitis:

1. Gallbladder stones, cholecystitis:

Stones larger than 2cm; filled stones, gallbladder loss of function; recurrent abdominal pain symptoms; history of biliary pancreatitis; gallbladder stones, neck embedded.

2. Gallbladder polyps, cholecystitis:

Gallbladder polyps larger than 1cm; those with recurrent abdominal pain symptoms; those with rapid and obvious increase in size on follow-up

3. Recurrent non-calculous cholecystitis can also be considered for surgical treatment.

But LC has been out for almost 20 years, the first case abroad was done in the 1980s, and now it is becoming popular to have cholecystectomy (removing the stone without removing the gallbladder), or there is also a kind of endoluminal cholecystectomy, which is to remove the gallbladder through the stomach or the colon, or the vagina, with no surgical scars outside of the body, and it is truly minimally invasive (non-invasive). However, it is still in the animal experimental stage.
