Handmade technology of ceramic products

The hand-made process of ceramic products is as follows:

1. Mud refining: Take porcelain stone from the mining area, first break it into egg-sized pieces with a hammer, then hammer it into powder with a water hammer, wash it, remove impurities, and make it into brick-like mud blocks after precipitation. Then mix mud and water to remove slag, rub with both hands or step on them with your feet to squeeze out the air in the mud and make the water in the mud uniform.

2. Blanking: Throw the clay ball in the center of the turntable of the pulley car, and draw the rough shape of the blank by bending, stretching and retracting. Blanking is the first process of forming.

3. Blank printing: according to the inner arc of the blank, the shape of the seal is formed by rotary cutting. Cover the semi-dry blank on the mold, beat the outer wall of the blank evenly, and then demould.

4. Blanking: Put the blank on the bucket of the pulley car, rotate the wheel and cut it with a knife to make the blank have proper thickness and smooth inside and outside.

5. Sun drying: put the processed blank on the wooden frame to dry.

6. Carving: Carve patterns on the dry blank with bamboo, bone or iron knife.

7. Glazing: Glazing or glazing ordinary round vessels. Glaze spraying of knives or large circular machines.

8. Kiln firing: First, put the ceramic products into the sagger. The box is a container for firing ceramic products, made of refractory materials, to prevent direct contact between porcelain blanks and kiln fire and avoid pollution, especially for firing white porcelain. Kiln burning time is about one day and night, and the temperature is about 1300 degrees. First, the kiln door is built, and the kiln is ignited. The fuel is pine. Give technical guidance to the driver, measure the temperature, master the temperature change of the kiln, and decide the ceasefire time.

As follows:

Ceramics is the floorboard of pottery and porcelain, and it is also a kind of arts and crafts in China. As early as the Neolithic Age, there were rough and simple painted pottery and black pottery in China. Pottery and porcelain have different textures and characteristics.

Pottery, made of clay with high viscosity and strong plasticity, is opaque, with fine pores, weak water absorption and turbid tapping sound. Porcelain is made of clay, feldspar and quartz. Translucent, non-absorbent, corrosion-resistant, hard and dense, with crisp knocking sound. China traditional ceramic handicrafts are famous for their high quality, beautiful appearance and high artistic value.
