How to set the hard disk mode

Motherboard is the way Phoenix BIOS sets the hard disk mode: press the "Del" key to Enter the BIOS, and use the right arrow key to select the "Advanced" item. After entering this menu, find the "SATA controller mode" option (as shown in figure 1), press the arrow key to switch to this item, and press the "Enter" key to pop up a dialog box, so you can change the hard disk mode, for example, set it to ". Motherboard is the way to set the hard disk working mode. BIOS:

Press the "Del" key to Enter the BIOS, find the "Integrated Peripheral", press the arrow keys to select this item, press ENTER to open this item, find the "OnChip SATA Controller" and set it to "Enabled". Then find out that there are three options in "OnChip SATA Type" and "Native IDE\RAID\AHCI" and select "AHCI". When changing the value, press the "Page Up"/"Page Down" key on the keyboard, and then press "F 10" to save and exit the BIOS.

(Note: Some motherboards set the hard disk mode item to "SATA mode", and the method of changing the value is the same. )

There are generally three hard disk modes:?

[IDE]: The serial ATA device built into the chip works in IDE mode (common item).

[RAID]: Serial ATA devices built into the chip work in RAID mode.

[AHCI]: Serial ATA built into the chip is used for AHCI mode operation (general project).

Some items of setting the hard disk mode in the motherboard BIOS are not included in the "Integrated Peripheral" item, please look for them in other major items, or refer to the motherboard manual.
