The predecessor of China National Theatre is Yan 'an Youth Art Theatre.

The predecessor of China National Theatre can be traced back to Yan 'an Youth Art Theatre, which was founded in 194 1. Seck was the chairman, Wang Zhen and Wu Xue were the vice-chairmen, and Guo Moruo, Tian Han, Hong Shen, Ou Yangyuqian, Wan Laitian, Xia Yan, Cao Yu and Yang Hansheng were hired as honorary directors of the theater.

1949, China Youth Art Theatre was established, 1956, Central Experimental Theatre was established, and on February 25th, 2006, 1, 12, two prestigious theaters were established and became China National Theatre. Because of its rich historical background and immortal literary soul, it has the reputation of "National Opera Team".
