What national dance is Guo Zhuang Dance?
Guozhuang dance, also known as "Guo Zhuo", "Ge Zhuang" and "Zhuo", which means circle dance in Tibetan, is one of the three major Tibetan folk dances. Guozhuang Dance is distributed in Qamdo and Naqu in Tibet, Aba and Ganzi in Sichuan, Diqing in Yunnan, and Tibetan areas in Qinghai and Gansu. When dancing, men and women usually form a semicircle hand in hand, with one leading the dance, men and women asking and answering questions, and singing repeatedly in pairs without instrumental accompaniment.

The classic movements of Pot Zhuang Dance include squatting cross-legged. The dancer's arm mainly changes the dance posture, the formation moves clockwise, the circle is large and small, and occasionally the pattern of "dragon wagging its tail" is changed. On May 20th, 2006, Guozhuang Dance was approved by People's Republic of China (PRC) and the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
There is no exact historical record of the origin of Guozhuang dance, but it can be confirmed that it is a primitive dance form from the analysis of the performance form and dance language of action composition.
Pot dance is enriched and perfected with the development of Tibetan production and life. The ancestors of primitive society were puzzled by various phenomena in nature, resulting in various forms of superstition and religion such as witchcraft, fetishism and totem.
