Information about the Asian Philharmonic Orchestra
The Asian Philharmonic Orchestra is composed of top musicians from eight Asian countries, with the famous conductor Zheng Mingxun as the chief conductor and music director. Its purpose is to prove that cultural diversity and ethnic background differences can not only create wonderful notes, but also create profound harmony and mutual understanding through various media. The orchestra not only devotes itself to music, but also pays more attention to the development of solidarity and friendship among Asian countries. The Asian Philharmonic Orchestra is not a permanent orchestra, but more like a festival orchestra. After the successful premiere of 1997, the orchestra became one of the first-class orchestras in Asia. 1998, South Korea's top traditional percussion quartet and outstanding performers held a concert called "Salute to South Korea", aiming at inspiring countries that have experienced the Asian financial turmoil and playing the theme of unity and harmony.
