Who made greater achievements in literature, Lu Xun or Mo Yan? Like what?
Why do you say that? Because it's not an order of magnitude. As a grandmaster, Mr. Lu Xun led an era and led the May 4th New Culture Movement, to which Mr. Lu Xun contributed. His collection of novels "Scream" is full of the spirit and significance of the times and cheers for the Revolution of 1911. We grew up watching his works. The image of Kong Yiji is not only a novel character, but also a representative of a kind of people who are deeply poisoned by feudal culture. His cuteness and abomination, pedantry and pity are fresh in people's memory; There is also the spiritual victory method of Ah Q and the cold madness of Madman. Hua Laoshuan's ignorance, Yu Xia's heroic wyndell dichinson, and the pun of "medicine"; Skinny "tofu beauty", her beauty, her chatter; "Double Happiness" and "Afa" returned to the ship on a moonlit night; The kindness of "Chang" The content of the novel Wandering is the anguish and hesitation of intellectuals after the April 12th coup, the emergence of the classic image of "Sister Xianglin", and the callousness and hypocrisy of Master Lu. And the "little man" I remember today who grew in Nu Wa's thigh. In a word, many literary classic images created by Mr. Lu Xun became the best calcium tablets and vitamins in our growing period. Lu Xun's essays are like throwing a gun at the devastated old China. He dissected the body and found out the source of the disease like an anatomist. He deserves to be a thinker! As for winning the prize, I don't think it has anything to do with the level of screenwriter. Of course, some China people bow to the Nobel Prize, which needs to be discussed.
As a writer in the new period, Mo Yan read his Song of Garlic Moss for the first time, and felt that he could give a drum and shout for the farmers. Although his works are of average artistic level, I still have a good impression on him! Later, when Red Sorghum was born, it seemed to cause a sensation in the literary world. Paper used to be expensive in Luoyang, especially when it was made into a movie performance, which caused a spectacle of thousands of people! Remember to queue up for three or four hours to buy tickets to watch the movie Red Sorghum. After reading it, I felt a little distressed about the expensive movie tickets at that time. Since then, my interest in Mo Yan has been greatly reduced. When "Big Breasts and Fat Buttocks" came out, our eyes were stung by acid, and we couldn't wait to see it first. Later, I read it and forgot that it was the fault of animal attributes. It turns out that we are going for the breasts and fat buttocks. What a shame! So I can't say anything. Later, Mo Yan won the prize, and he gradually faded out of my sight. Up to now, I still remember the sexy actress in the movie, except for the four striking words "big breasts and fat hips" As for the characters in Mo Yan's novels, I really can't remember them clearly.
Mo Yan's position in China's literary world cannot be compared with Lu Xun's.
Since the death of Mr. Chen, the author of White Deer Plain, there has been no literary leader in modern China. Others play business or movies. The Nobel Prize does not represent the highest achievement of China's social literary world. The jury has different world views on China culture. The Nobel Prize is now more like a political plaything. After Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize, the government's attitude towards Mo Yan was appreciation and encouragement, but it was generally low-key. Comrade Mo Yan may not have paid enough efforts and enthusiasm to the country and society.
Lu Xun is a soldier in the national liberation movement. His article exposed the corruption and darkness in reality, cooperated with the great democratic liberation movement, inspired workers, peasants and intellectuals to overthrow the three mountains and awakened many dreamers. Mo Yan's award-winning works are almost unknown outside the circle, only some random interviews by passers-by are minority. It is far from the description and depth of Bailuyuan.
To put it bluntly, Mo Yan's winning the prize is a personal matter, which seems to have nothing to do with the fate of this country and nation, and the people, including the literary rookie. He didn't see any contribution to society. Because I am cautious, I don't communicate much with the people. Some people wrote thousands of poems in the Tang Dynasty, but they didn't have a place in the poetry circle. Why is it not bad writing, not beautiful words, but a lack of feelings of worrying about the country and the people and national justice? Without this national sentiment, it is difficult to spread the wonderful chapter.
Such a comparison is disrespectful to Lu Xun and unfair to Mo Yan.
Lu Xun was originally named Zhou Zhangshou and later renamed Zhou Shuren, a native of Shaoxing, Zhejiang. He is a famous writer, thinker and democratic fighter in China, an important participant in the May 4th New Culture Movement and the founder of modern literature in China.
I first read Lu Xun's works in primary school. A vivid image emerges in the mind of a teenager watching melons in the moonlight.
192 1 year, the novella The True Story of Ah Q was published. Diary of a Madman, published in May 19 18, is China's first modern vernacular novel. 19361June19 died of tuberculosis in Shanghai. Lu Xun's works are mainly novels and essays, and his representative works are: Collection of Novels, Scream, Hesitation, New Stories, etc. Prose collection "Morning Flowers Picking Up in the Evening"; A collection of prose poems "Weeds"; Prose such as Grave, Hot Wind, Gai Hua Collection, Gai Hua Collection Continuation, South-to-North Transfer, Three Idle Collections, Two Hearts Collection, Justice Collection, and Qiejieting Prose Collection, etc. Dozens of his works have been selected into Chinese textbooks for primary and secondary schools, and many novels have been adapted into movies. His works had a far-reaching influence on China literature after the May 4th Movement. Lu Xun, who took the place of Ge with pen, struggled all his life and was known as "soul of china". "Bowing one's head and being a willing ox" is a portrayal of Lu Xun's life.
Mo Yan, whose original name was Guan, won the Nobel Prize in Literature on 20 12, and was also the first China writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.
When I was in high school, I once read Mr. Mo Yan's novel Fatigue of Life and Death.
Fatigue of Life and Death is a masterpiece that pays tribute to China's classical novels and the great tradition of folk narration. In this sacred ceremony, the six divisions in the wheel of karma imagined by the East hid between the lines of the book and wrote down the songs and lamentations of farmers.
I once read Mr. Gao Yuanbao's article "Some words that remind of Lu Xun because Mo Yan won the prize" in a magazine. Although I admire Mr. Gao's talent, I have different views on his view that China's modern and contemporary literature is "not as good as before", especially his repeated statement that "there is a big gap between the two, how can it be counted" is quite suspicious and reminds people of the famous saying of an old lady of nine pounds.
In Mr. Gao's view, it is almost self-evident that the generation of China literature is not as good as the generation, and even the Nobel Prize judges are convinced: "Writers such as Lu Xun, Mao Dun, Ba Jin, Lao She, Cao Yu, Shen Congwen, Qian Zhongshu and Wang Zengqi did not award the Nobel Prize in time when they were alive. If we wait any longer, when Mo Yan's generation of "serious writers" has passed, and then we want to award them to China writers, we can only consider the post-80 s and post-90 s. For the Nobel Prize judges, this may be the last opportunity that cannot be delayed. " If Lu Xun had a spirit in heaven, how would he feel about such words?
The following statement is even more difficult to understand: "Is it because Mo Yan won the prize that Mo Yan himself or other contemporary writers like Mo Yan in China suddenly surpassed Liang Qichao and Lu Xun? Or surpass Ba Jin, Lao She, Shen Congwen, Qian Zhongshu, Wang Zengqi and others to reach the world-class level? " As far as awards are concerned, the basic situation is that today's people only compare with today's people, and the living do not compete with the dead. In fact, it doesn't matter whether Mo Yan surpasses other domestic writers. What matters is what the Nobel Prize judges think of Mo Yan. As for whether Mo Yan surpassed Lu Xun, this is obviously a false question. When we sent Lu Xun to the altar, Mo Yan was naturally unparalleled. Even if Lu Xun is invited to the altar, this generation is still there. When Lu Xun died, Mo Yan was not born, not a generation at all. What kind of comparison should it be? We can't assert that contemporary literature is inferior to modern literature just because Mo Yan is a bad writer, just as we can't assert that modern literature is inferior to contemporary literature just because Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize and Lu Xun didn't.
According to Mr. Gao's logic, we may say that there is a great gap between modern literature and Ming and Qing literature. There is a big gap between Ming and Qing literature and Tang and Song literature, so how can it be counted from the inside! Literature of Tang and Song Dynasties and literature of Qin and Han Dynasties ... Qin and Han Dynasties and the Spring and Autumn Period ... If this continues, only the school of "sailing in navigation" written by Mr. Lu Xun can create the best literary works. Of course, as a layman in modern and contemporary literature, it may be unkind to make such a fuss. I hope Mr. Gao will forgive me.
In the words of Mr. Gao Guowei, it is "literature from generation to generation". Or Mr. Gao himself said clearly: "Modern writers can't write contemporary literature, and contemporary writers can't write modern literature. Modern and contemporary writers, according to their own conditions, strive to write literature that truly presents the cultural individuality of their respective times and reach the realm permitted by their own abilities. Only by understanding the background and basic characteristics of these two kinds of literature can we compare them. " Having said that, I believe that Mr. Gao compared Lu Xun with Mo Yan, and his intention was by no means to let Guan Yu compete with him. Otherwise, it would be too flattering to Mo Yan. Of course, this nondescript title used in the above-mentioned inexplicable gossip has been suspected of over-flattering Mo Yan.
Everyone knows that Lu Xun's era has passed after all, which is why Lu Xun is invincible. Just as Greek mythology is an unattainable model, the works of modern literary masters represented by Lu Xun are also unattainable models for later generations. But what if you can't reach it? Why should latecomers be cautious based on the mental scale specially designed by experts for their predecessors?
There is no comparison between Lu Xun and Mo Yan. One is a literary giant, and the other is a rising star, dazzling and brilliant. But it is also comparable. How come? Specific height: ideological height, literary height. Chairman Mao commented: "Lu Xun was the chief commander of China's cultural revolution, a great writer, thinker and revolutionary." The American Time Weekly commented: "Mo Yan is the legacy of Nobel Prize in Literature." The evaluation gap is too big. The height of Lu Xun's thought is also reflected in the people's nature: overlooking a thousand fingers and bowing to be a willing ox. They all showed hatred for the enemy and enthusiasm for the people. The height of culture determines the height of art. Lu Xun is one of the leaders of the new culture movement and a university professor, with a high cultural starting point. Mo Yan was born in poverty, only went to primary school, and later joined the army and grew up in the big school of the People's Liberation Army. It stands to reason that he should be rooted in Hong Miao, with Lu Xun's thoughts and profound literary skills, but he didn't work hard on this scarlet letter, which made him lose his height and trust and became a western pang.
On the literary level, I have a feeling that the more you read Lu Xun's works, the more interesting they become. After years of rereading, there are new gains. And some famous people stop reading their works once. This is the height and massiness of Lu Xun's literature.
Lu Xun's works are also full of philosophy. "Hometown" ends: "Hope doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. It's like a road on the ground. In fact, there is no road on the ground. If there are more people walking, it will become a road. " I hope Mo Yan can learn from Lu Xun and embark on a shining red road in the field of creation.
Lu Xun and Mo Yan are both famous writers in China. If anyone wants to say that his literary achievements are greater, it must be Lu Xun. So did Mo Yan surpass Lu Xun? I think: Lu Xun's literary achievements and influence overshadowed Mo Yan, which is holistic and overwhelming; Mo Yan also has some indicators higher than Lu Xun (for example, he won the Nobel Prize and his total output was high), but these indicators are partial and cannot shake Lu Xun's position.
Social Influence Lu Xun was the commander-in-chief of China's Cultural Revolution. He is not only a great writer, but also a great thinker and revolutionary. His prose is a dagger thrown at the dark forces, and his image is a hero who inspires the progressive forces. When Mr. Lu Xun died, thousands of Shanghai residents flocked to the streets to see him off. 16 people carried coffins to help the spirit, including Ba Jin and Hu Feng, many of whom were great writers. Such a scene has never been seen in Shanghai, which is enough to show Lu Xun's powerful influence. I don't belittle Mo Yan, seeking truth from facts on social influence, Mo Yan is still unparalleled.
Cultural Status Lu Xun is one of the pioneers of the New Culture Movement in China, and has exerted a great influence on China literature after the May 4th Movement. After the reform and opening up, Mo Yan made his mark in China's literary world. His series of works are full of complex feelings of "homesickness" and "resentment" and are called "root-seeking literature" writers. From the perspective of cultural status, the role of "New Culture Movement" and "root-seeking literature" do not belong to the same level: "New Culture Movement" has changed the whole literary world, while "root-seeking literature" is only a category in the literary world.
The spreading power of works Baidu Encyclopedia listed Lu Xun as one of the top ten writers in the world, which was recognized by many netizens. Although this is not evaluated by authoritative organizations, it can also represent some "public opinion"! Lu Xun's works have long been translated into many languages and spread in various countries, and the world influence is certain. Look at Mo Yan. His works have been translated into more than 40 languages and spread internationally. In addition, Mo Yan is a Nobel Prize winner, and his works have strong communication power. As for who has stronger communication power and lacks authoritative data comparison, I dare not draw a conclusion; I can only estimate that Mo Yan's works sell better, because he has the "crown" blessing of the Nobel Prize. However, Lu Xun's works have a long history, and it is not easy to understand Lu Xun without understanding the bitter history of old China.
As for why Lu Xun didn't win the Nobel Prize and Mo Yan did, this is beyond the scope of this topic. I will simply say: whether you can win the Nobel Prize is related to your national strength.
Literary appeal Both Lu Xun's and Mo Yan's works have strong literary appeal. From the perspective of pure literature, appeal is inseparable. Looking at Lu Xun's Scream, Hesitation, Morning Flowers Picking Up in the Evening and Gang Ji from primary school to junior high school. Sister Xianglin and Kong Yi left an indelible impression on me. Unfortunately, I was young at that time, and there were many details I didn't know or even understand. I believe most people have read Mo Yan's Red Sorghum, or at least seen a movie. You may not know his other short story, Red Ears. In the 1990s, I watched Red Ears at least five times and copied classic sentences. Some languages were later borrowed by me. The detailed description of red ears is wonderful. At that time, Mo Yan had not won the Nobel Prize, and I didn't mean to "follow the trend".
In a word, the works of Lu Xun and Mo Yan have deeply influenced me, and certainly influenced a large number of cultural seniors (middle and young) like me.
Mr. Lu Xun has a far-reaching influence on China's modern literature, and his ideological depth and artistic achievements are much higher than Mo Yan's. A series of Lu Xun's works, such as Wandering, Scream, Morning Flowers, Weeds, New Stories, etc. Everyone is familiar with it and has a profound influence on the field of modern literature.
Compared with modern works, Mo Yan's literary works are more radical in style, ironic and realistic. But it reflects that his works are not suitable for young people with immature thoughts, so his works are far less famous than Mr. Lu Xun's.
Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize in Literature, which greatly increased his fame. But the first person nominated by Nobel Prize in Literature in China was Mr. Lu Xun, who refused to accept Nobel Prize in Literature's nomination because of his disdain. The second is Lao She, a people's artist, but he died after winning the Nobel Prize in Literature and didn't win the prize. It was Mo Yan who finally won the Nobel Prize in Literature, and he was also the first person in China who really won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
It only represents personal views, and you are welcome to add your own views.
Of course, Mr. Lu Xun's literary achievements are even greater. Special times have created special Lu Xun and Lu Xun literature. He and his literature are not only writers and literary works, but also the spiritual awakening of an era. It was Lu Xun's literature that awakened the sleeping slave image in old China. Just like "Scream", it is a steel knife and an awakened warrior. From literature to soul, Lu Xun did it. Mo Yan is our hometown in Shandong and our glory, but he didn't touch me from the heart. Mo Yan is just an excellent writer. Although he won the Nobel Prize in Literature, he felt no power from his works. Although the times are different and literary works are naturally different, Mo Yan's charm will never be felt. Perhaps his writing style is realistic and individual, but what is the soul? I heard that his Frog won the Nobel Prize, so I bought it. As a result, I forced myself to watch it several times before I finished it, because I did experience the social reality of family planning when I was a child. There are many books and some ideas. But I didn't finish watching "All Show Fat Buttocks", and I don't remember anything except some abusive language. So I went to listen to other people's interpretations. Do good literary works need to be interpreted by others? However, without Lu Xun, Mo Yan would be the first. Mo Yan's works still have depth.
My humble opinion, welcome criticism.
Lu Xun, of course. Lu Xun's works have been published for nearly a hundred years, which are deeply rooted in people's hearts, popularized and influenced several generations of China people. I am afraid that few people in modern China can exert the power of literature to the extreme, which is the greatness of Lu Xun.
Mo Yan's success lies in winning the Nobel Prize in Literature and winning glory for the people of China. Although his works are good, they do not play a leading role in China literature, let alone promote the history of China.
Literature is one of the tools for the progress of human civilization. Therefore, its ultimate effect is based on promoting the progress of human society. In this sense, Mr. Lu Xun's literary achievements are higher than Mo Yan's.
On the surface, Lu Xun has been "shouting" all his life, and Mo Yan has been "pulling home" all his life. Whose literary achievements are greater. We should first look at the background of the two eras and their literary works.
Time background
Lu Xun was in a dying feudal dynasty for thousands of years, and his new ideological system has not been fully established. The people are confused and the elite belief has fallen, so the times are calling for a group of young people with aspirations to lead the ideological trend, break through secular barriers and ideological imprisonment, and awaken the people to save the country.
Mo Yan grew up and worked in the environment of social development exploration and transformation in China. Therefore, the observation and perception of life is rich and delicate, and it is very grounded to let readers be there, like a mirror of life, observing human nature and gaining insight into society.
Literary works
Lu Xun's works are sharp in style, daring to expose deep social contradictions and the ugliness of human nature, thus awakening the people. For example, Scream describes the social situation in China from the Revolution of 1911 to the May 4th Movement. The author wants to shock people from the spiritual level through the power of literature, so as to awaken the whole people.
Mo Yan's works are concise and meticulous, with a strong sense of picture. For example, readers of Red Sorghum can feel the fiery red of the work at a glance.
To sum up, I think Lu Xun is a writer and thinker, and Mo Yan is a writer and novelist.
I think the two historical figures have different contributions to society, because they lived in different historical times, and all the goals they embodied had different roles and contributions to the society at that time. When China was poor and ignorant, Lu Xun awakened the people's ideological rise for the first time, thus changing the backward realistic ideology, benefiting the people from the spiritual level and giving them intangible spiritual strength and action direction. It embodies Mr. Lu Xun's national spirit and social responsibility spirit under the background of the times and hopes that the country will be rich and strong. Mr. Lu Xun's thought has influenced the development of modern teenagers, thus changing and stepping out of many famous great figures. Mr Mo Yan was born after liberation and grew up in the early days of the construction of new China. When he became famous, he was in a social predicament and lacked material resources. His works have made contributions in different times, focusing on more details of social life and works, such as: (Red Sorghum) telling you the current situation of life with details of social life, and reflecting his style and contribution with sketches. Therefore, before and after liberation, one of the two great artists made their own contributions and had far-reaching influence. They have created heroes for the times, both of which are great artistic achievements made by the times and deserve admiration. what do you reckon ?
