Infusion pump needed by ICU

In order to know the requirements of ICU for infusion pump, it is necessary to know the requirements of commonly used drugs in ICU. The main drugs used in ICU are as follows:

(1) Sensitive drugs such as dopamine, dobutamine, nitroglycerin and norepinephrine need to be given according to the patient's weight per kilogram in unit time. If the infusion pump has the weight administration mode, it will avoid the complicated conversion of medical personnel and avoid the risk of errors in the conversion process.

(2) Dobutamine, unfractionated heparin and urapidil need to adjust the flow rate at any time according to APTT (hemodynamic parameters). If the infusion pump does not need to stop infusion (agile speed regulation function) or has additional function (secondary infusion function) in the process of adjusting flow, it can save more operation time and win valuable rescue opportunities.

(3) The pumping process of sodium nitroprusside needs to be protected from light, and it needs to be completed within 4~6 hours after preparation, and then dispensing and changing bottles. Therefore, the process of dressing change can be completed quickly and accurately by choosing an infusion pump with electronic eyes and giving an alarm with empty bottles.

(4) Heparin is the first choice for rapid anticoagulation. For AMI patients, the time of using low molecular weight heparin can be as long as one week, and the flow accuracy is the highest in ICU. When choosing an infusion pump, we must actually test the long-term accuracy retention with the PVC infusion set pipeline adopted by the hospital. Choosing semi-extrusion infusion pump can avoid opening the door frequently within 5 ~ 6 hours like full-extrusion infusion pump, otherwise the accuracy of flow rate cannot be guaranteed.

(5) Nasal feeding nutrition is a routine item in ICU. If the infusion pump is used to pump viscous liquids such as commercially necessary meals or homogeneous meals made by nutrition department, only the semi-extrusion infusion pump can keep the elastic suction of the pipeline from decreasing with the cumulative effect of long-term extrusion.
