According to the report, the person in charge of the repair technology department of the Palace Museum said that the Palace Museum plans to repair the "eight masterpieces" of ancient buildings, namely, the craftsman training mechanism for tiles, wood, earth, stone, building materials, lacquer, colored paintings and pasting, and build a professional echelon for literature research, protection and restoration, testing and analysis, and value evaluation, so as to reserve strength for the future protection of cultural relics and architectural heritage.

At the same time, a carpenter skill competition was held in the Forbidden City. In this competition, a practical competition was held in the morning and a theoretical examination was held in the afternoon. The practical competition is "Manufacture and Installation of Core Drawers", and each participant needs to make and assemble a core drawer according to the drawings within two and a half hours.

It is reported that after fierce competition by carpenters and comprehensive evaluation by expert judges, the winners have obtained the qualification to further participate in the basic training course of the research and protection project of hall of mental cultivation in the Forbidden City, so as to reserve strength for the future protection of cultural relics and architectural heritage.
