Explain my views on ancient architecture in China in English.

The Great Wall of China is called "Wan Li Great Wall" in Chinese. In fact, it is more than 6,000 kilometers long. It winds from west to east, across the desert, over the mountains, through the valleys, and finally to the sea. This is one of the wonders of the world.

The Great Wall has a history of more than 200 years. The first part of it was built in the Spring and Autumn Period. During the Warring States period, more city walls were built to protect the borders of different kingdoms. It was in the Qin Dynasty that Qin unified different countries into an empire. In order to keep the enemy out of the country, Qin Shihuang had all the city walls connected. Thus, the Great Wall was formed.

The top of the Great Wall is wide enough for five horses or ten people to walk side by side. Along the city wall is the watchtower, where the soldiers used to keep watch. When the enemy came, the tower lit a fire as a warning.

In ancient times, it was very difficult to build such a wall without any modern machines. All the work is done by hand. Thousands of people died and we were buried under the walls they built. The Great Wall is not only made of stone and mud, but also made of the flesh and blood of millions of people.

Today, the Great Wall has become a scenic spot not only for people in China, but also for people all over the world. Many of them know this famous China proverb: "You are not a hero until you reach the Great Wall."
